Lucca Joy {Oklahoma City Newborn Photographer}

Little bitty Lucca was my smallest newborn to date – weighing in at just 5 lbs., 15oz. she was like a sweet little porcelain doll. Her Mama wanted to incorporate lots of color in her session – so I wanted to be sure that her session would be full of bright and cheerful colors!

Lucca liked the idea too!

Harper {Oklahoma City Baby Photographer}

Can you believe that this teeny little one is already a toddler?

If ever there was a baby with the ideal baby rolls, it’s Harper. Not even the next photos can give her baby thighs justice, but trust me, the rolls are there and they are scrumptious! 🙂

PHOTO TIP: As a photographer, something that makes me happier than anything else in this world is the right wardrobe choice. I get asked this question all the time and it’s truly so hard to answer because everyone has different styles, but here are two key things to remember when planning your next photo session: 1. Mom, dress yourself first. It’s so tempting to dress baby first, but I promise you if you find your perfect outfit, it’s SO much easier to coordinate everyone else to YOU. And 2. Don’t “matchy match.” I love Marci’s wardrobe choice for their session! Her light and airy color options give the photos a whimsical feel and you can tell that it truly captures who they are as a family!

Max {Tulsa Newborn Photographer}

This week I had the pleasure of meeting baby Max.  It was a joy to watch his big sister with him – she was so gentle and sweet – giving him multiple kisses and singing him sweet lullabies. As always I love working with this family. It’s so fun to watch them grow from a family of 3 to 4. I look forward to watching Max grow and capturing priceless moments with him and big sister, Harper.

William {Oklahoma City Newborn Photographer}

Yesterday I met Will.

y5

But I met his parents in middle school. Melissa and I cheered together for years – going all the way back to 6th grade. In fact, even before we ruled Childers Middle School as 8th grade cheerleaders her mom was our cheerleading coach.  Then Brad came along in 8th grade – he was our star Basketball player. I remember on schedule pickup day the rumor was that he definitely couldn’t be an 8th grader because he was too tall. Gotta love middle school logic.

Who knew that Brad and Melissa would end up together? …And that someday I would be snapping photos of their sweet 8 day old baby? In fact, as Brad was assisting in this pose (he’s holding Will) he made the comment, “Who’d ever thought we’d be here together?”

Definitely one of my favorite sessions to date – Will was a dream the entire session and I had the added bonus of catching up with old friends while “working.”

You have one beautiful baby boy on your hands, Brad and Melissa – Hope to see more of you and baby Will soon!
