My Own {Oklahoma City Newborn Photographer}

Our little Noah Grayson is here! He arrived at 8:29am on September, 20th. He’s our little 7lb 8oz bundle of sweetness.

According to Gabe, “Baby Wowa” is his baby. I catch Gabe putting down his toys to gently pat Noah’s head while he sleeps and Gabe is always making sure that Noah has his paci and toys on hand. Its so sweet to watch him already become a protective big brother without even realizing that he is.

I tried for the longest time (2 days!!) to get Gabe to lay down and take a picture with Noah. I begged, pleaded, bribed, threatened and even threw in a fake cry for hurting Mommy’s feelings. The fake cry was apparently the most swaying as I was quickly able to snach this:

award winning? no. But at least his face isn’t hidden behind his car, which is what most of the other frames look like.

Oh well. That’s life with my  Gabe – and there’s still a lot to be said from this “blooper” photo. I like that he lets his little brother snuggle in close, I like that his shirt says “Old Buds” and I like that his car, though covering his eyes, is his favorite car that never leaves his hands.

Fall is here! {Oklahoma City Family Photographer}

The September mini sessions were this Saturday – here are just a few of the shots caught that day. All four families were so fun and lovely that really they made my job easy. Aside from the whole 38 weeks preggo thing and attempting to “roll around” with the toddlers – I’d say it was a success.

What I especially loved about this session is that 3 of the “babies” below were just some of my newborn clients – first there was Jett, then Zane, then Kendall….my how the time flies!

There are still 2 openings left for the November 5th Mini Sessions!

Suds in the bucket {Oklahoma City Photographer}

…She left the suds in the bucket and the clothes hangin’ out on the line.

Last spring I was driving in my car when this Sara Evans song came on the radio, and I knew as I sang along that I HAD to do a shoot with that scene. So I turned the song up and started planning…

Jessica and Zak are friends of ours and thankfully I can throw just about any idea at Jessica and she’ll say, “That sounds good. What do we need to do?”  So when I said I really wanted to recreate the scene of Sara Evan’s song, I’m so thankful she didn’t say, “Really? Sara Evans? A country song?? You’re nuts.”

So this is what we came up with – it turned out to be one of my favorite sessions to date! (oh, and Adley and Banner’s sweet little dresses…handmade by Jessica – could this family get any cuter? I think not.) Thanks Zak and Jess for trusting my crazy vision!
