Peek-a-boo & Pearls {Oklahoma City Baby Photographer}

Baby Athena is one! Its been such a fun year to see her grow – in all her milestone sessions (3 month, 6 month, & 9 month) it seemed like she “grew up” the most in between this session and the last! To celebrate her birthday we played dress up, read books, and played peek-a-boo. Of course we had balloons and a yummy cake – but according to Athena, a lady doesn’t get her hands dirty! She wanted nothing to do with the cake! But the pearls – oh the pearls! She loved!

Baby Ireland {Oklahoma City Newborn Photographer}

Baby Ireland is here! You’ll probably remember her mommy and daddy from their maternity session a few months ago.

Little Miss Ireland was such a pleasure to photograph!

Isabella Sophia {Oklahoma City Newborn Photographer}

We just had two massive blizzards hit Oklahoma City. Something that rarely happens here, much less within a week of each other. Luckily little miss Isabella’s session was scheduled neatly in between the two snow storms. She was such a good sleeper – which is also always an added bonus!

I love to wrap up my newborn sessions with a little bit of documentary style photography. I love how Iliana is looking at David while he rocks Isabella to sleep. I love catching the “in between” moments that can easily go unnoticed.

Baby Kennedy {Oklahoma City Newborn Photographer}

I had the pleasure of meeting sweet little Kennedy this past Sunday. I was friends with her Aunt Sarah in high school so it was an especially fun session to see her family again.

I’m usually really good with names. Its actually something I am obsessed about – I like to come to my sessions feeling prepared so I’m not stumbling over everyone’s name (“Hey you. No, no the shorter one. Could you stand next to your sister? No not that sister, the older one.” See what I’m getting at? That would be my worst nightmare.) But for some reason I didn’t get Kennedy’s name before the session. Grave mistake.

I asked Kennedy’s mom as soon as I got there (who’s name is also Sarah) to remind me of her name. She thought I meant her. I, however, was talking about  Kennedy. So when she told me Sarah I just assumed 1. They really like the name Sarah and 2. I’ve always seen babies named after the dad so why not mom? (and Aunt). I went with it. I know, I’m a dork.  We got a good laugh out of it halfway through the session when I finally learned that Kennedy was really Kennedy.
