She was such a doll baby. I love blending my portrait newborn images with family lifestyle photos. You just can’t beat the first few days of snuggles with your sweet new baby.

Amelie’s session was so dreamy. She just snuggled in, got cozy and let me pose away.
Sometimes, I dream about the day that my kids are all in school and I will be able to work out of a studio – oh to not have to lug newborn gear around – glorious. But if I’m really honest with myself I love that get to come into my clients home and capture their first few days together there as a family with their newest member in hands. It’s such an honor.
I just loved shooting both the maternity session and newborn session for this sweet family. Jillian had my oldest son in her preschool class few years ago and has my youngest in her class now – so we are big “Miss Jillian” fans 🙂 I’m so excited to see her and Jon have their own sweet little one to love on – I’ve seen how much she loves on others’ babies so I know baby Layla is one lucky lady!
Brooks celebrated the end of his Baby Plan with a big birthday bash 🙂 It was fun to switch it up a bit and do a document-style session. I love the picture of Brooks with his grandmothers…you can tell the poor guy lacks in the “being adored” category 😉
Since taking these photos back in…oh, June, his little sister Caroline has been added to the family so I’m thrilled that I get to continue seeing Brooks every few months now that we are documenting her 1st year!
Emersen and Teague were such a cute duo. We had so much fun at their session. Loved how we incorporated some of their special toys that are so important to them at this age.
