With every session I have, there’s something specific I love about each one. Amelie’s smash cake session will always be one of my favorites. Her mommy brought forks for everyone to dig in and participate once we snapped a few pics of just Amelie with her cake. It was the perfect ending.

Although DeShazo Photography is now in it’s 8th year, I’m just now beginning to articulate that what I love most about photography is connection. Its in the way Dad tosses his baby in the air to get the best giggles, or the way a mom can’t stop staring at her newborn’s new face – trying to store every tiny detail into her memory. That’s where life is captured. Those are the seemingly insignificant moments that too often sneak by too quickly.
