Remember Theo? To this day, his session remains one of my favorites. This time he’s gotten a little taller, has added some hair as well as a baby brother: Henry.
Goodness gracious, boys are busy – especially when they double up on you! It’s a good thing I have two of my own to keep me on my toes!

Weeks 18 and 19…I think. I’m falling so far behind on posting these! The good news is I’m still actually taking the pictures!

Little Mason. He has been in the hearts of his Mommy and Daddy for years. He has been prayed for, hoped for and begged for by so many. Brandon and Tessa decided to start their family two and a half years ago, but soon months turned to years and after doctor visit after doctor visit, and disappointment after disappointment, the dream of a baby seemed hopeless and out of reach. They were tired, hurt, and heartbroken. This January the story changed. They received a call asking if they would be interested in adopting. Now their baby is here!! God is so good!
Tessa has been my dearest friend for over 10 years now. We met on move-in day of college and then ended up rooming together our second semester of freshman year. She is a sister to me. So when she called to tell me that they would be expecting to adopt their baby in April I cried as if he were my own! I was selfishly excited that they were going to be adopting a little boy – a friend for my two boys! Oh how much fun we are going to have in the years to come!
Here he is!

I was so excited to spend the day in Wichita, celebrating their new bundle of joy!

Mason was featured on the Chic Critique Forum’s Image of the week!

Harper turned 3 in March and Max celebrated one year just a few days ago. I cannot get over how much he had grown in just 6 months! Max just started walking right before this session. I love the joy on his face as he started to take off on his own two feet!

Max loves trucks. And yogurt melts. His big sister had a purse full of yogurt melts at her one year old session. So of course we had to incorporate yogurt melts in Max’s session too. What better way to celebrate your birthday than with a handful of your favorite treat out of the bed of a truck?

He was a little unsure of his smash cake. Luckily big sister was there to show him how it’s done. She gave him the confidence to dig in and enjoy! And he did! Orange Icing everywhere! (Jennifer, I still have nightmares of you trying to scrub orange icing out of your grout!)

These two are so sweet with each other!

I’ve fallen behind on posting my Everyday Life series! I have been taking pictures – documenting our days. The day-to-day, the “mundane”: this is where you find the sweetest glimpses of life. The moments that your heart tells you “hold on to this second forever”. Some I haven’t always had my camera on me, or in other instances I miss the moment. And sometimes usually my 3 year old will see me reach for my camera and instantly claim he no longer wants to take part. (Little Turkey Sweet Boy).

Her mom had called me a few months ago to capture Kadie Grace at this time of her life: Thirteen. Why hadn’t I thought of that before? I LOVED the idea of capturing her at such a unique age…somewhere in the middle of “no longer my baby” to “giving her wings”.
Kadie Grace is beautiful. She is smart, incredibly sweet and fun to talk to. It was so important to me to capture her pure heart, her innocence without feeling like her senior pictures – because that will be for another day to document.
For now here is Kadie Grace and all her “thirteen-ness”.

getting 15 people to smile at the camera is a good, good thing!

Dale and Debbie, you have a beautiful family! Happy Birthday, Debbie.

Such a sweet family. They are pure and loving and kind. These pictures were to celebrate Parker, who just turned one, and capture their family at this time in life. Big brother, Reese, reminded me so much of my Gabe. What’s funny is as I was editing these, Gabe looked over and said, “Hey is that ME, mommy?” I told him, “No. Gabe it’s not you. But you sure act alike!” He then immediately wanted to know more. What is his name? Why is he holding a stick? Is that his little brother (pointing to Parker) “Like Noah is MY little brother?” Where are his mommy and daddy?

I have SO many fun photos to share from this session but as I was going through the images I realized we reveal whether or not baby is a boy or girl in a LOT of our shots….something that has yet to be revealed! So here is just a little sneak peek from their maternity session that gives you no indication of who exactly is tucked away in Cassandra’s belly! You’ll have to wait until the newborn session to find out!

I Heart Faces is running a fun Photo Challenge – their theme this month: Happiness. I had to take part and submit one of the happiest babies I’ve ever met.
Is there anything sweeter than a mommy and her bundle of JOY?
